So… You’re Having a Baby
A calm, honest pregnancy prep circle.
Pregnancy brings excitement, questions, nerves, and a fair bit of “right… now what?”
This six-week circle offers a steady place to talk it through properly. We’ll look at what supports women through pregnancy and early motherhood, drawing on education, lived experience, and work I’ve done alongside midwives, doctors, and Compassionate Inquiry–informed approaches.
The focus is conversation and understanding.
Information that’s useful.
Space that feels human.
This isn’t therapy and it’s not medical care. It’s an educational and reflective space where women can prepare themselves, not just the baby.
Our Process
How the six weeks flow
We meet once a week on Monday evenings.
Each session opens gently, settles the group, and then moves into conversation, education, and shared reflection.
We close each week calmly, with space to land what’s come up and head back into real life.
Same faces. Same time. A steady rhythm.
Week by week
Week 1 — Opening the circle
Right. Where are you actually at?
We start by getting our bearings.
This week is about arriving, settling in, and talking honestly about where you are right now. Excitement, nerves, questions, mixed feelings — all welcome.
We’ll look at what pregnancy preparation really means beyond lists and plans, and set a grounded tone for the weeks ahead.
Week 2 — The body bit
What’s happening physically, and how to listen in
A straight-talking look at the body during pregnancy.
How things can change. What’s common. What often surprises people.
We’ll talk about tuning in without obsessing, recognising signals, and supporting yourself in practical, realistic ways.
Week 3 — Emotions, wobble moments, and the inner shift
The stuff no one puts on the checklist
Pregnancy brings feelings. Sometimes all at once.
This week is about understanding emotional shifts, anxiety, unexpected reactions, and how to stay steady when things feel unfamiliar.
Week 4 — Relationships and real life
Partners, family, friends, work… all of it
Becoming a parent changes dynamics. Even before the baby arrives.
We’ll talk about communication, expectations, boundaries, and how to stay connected to yourself and the people around you as things shift.
Practical, honest, very real-world.
Week 5 — Support, care, and what actually helps
Looking ahead without getting overwhelmed
This week focuses on what supports women during pregnancy and early motherhood.
Rest, help, care, pacing yourself, and letting go of the idea that you should be able to do everything.
We’ll talk about planning in a way that feels supportive rather than stressful.
Week 6 — Closing the circle
Bringing it together
We’ll look back at what’s shifted, what’s landed, and what feels clearer now.
This is about integration, confidence, and heading forward feeling more resourced and less alone.
We close the circle gently, with space to mark the transition.
